About Allison
Allison is a very recent graduate from college with a degree in English. What comes next? Only time will tell.
Her first forray into writing came in second grade, when she decided that she was going to grow up to be a writer after reading a Jane Yolen book. She wrote short stories, often fairy tales, comeplete with illustrations throughout elementary school. Her writing endeavors took a backseat to academics throughout middle school and high school but always, always, writing seemed to be one of the greatest creative and emotional outlets, and Allison continued to write short stories, often inspired by vivid surrealist dreams.
In her senior year of high school she wrote a play called Passing Tides that was chosen for the schools annual Festival of Student Written Plays which she also directed. As an English major Allison focused on writing about literature rather than creatively, and found herself on the long and confusing path of trying to decide upon a career path.
As a new graduate, she aspires to pursue a career in education, and plans to continue to write and one day publish a novel. Chronicling life as an unemployed English graduate along with Anna, she hopes All Pomp and Bad Circumstance will be an enlighting and amusing look into the most daunting of tasks: Finding employment and a place in this world.
